We want to not only avoid fast fashion but eliminate it by supporting sustainable clothing brands that are changing the status quo.

And that’s exactly what we’ve curated in this list: brands that prioritize responsible materials, ethical labor, supply chain transparency, and sustainable packaging.

This has involved a lot of trying on, scanning tags, and reading impact reports. We’ve done all the dressy digging and style sniffing for you.

We’re also taking this further through our new Brand Rating System, which will assess brands against a range of additional sustainability-related criteria, including their climate impact and chemical use. For a deeper understanding of how the system works, visit our explainer and look out for the rated brands on the list below who have chosen to take that extra step to be more transparent with us.

My Personal Review Of Passion Lilie’s Viva Floral Organic Dress:

“This organic cotton dress is seriously soft and beautifully breezy and cool. It’s perfect for staying comfy in the heat, and the bold salmon color adds a fun pop of color to my summer wardrobe. I adore the wrap style of Passion Lillie’s Coastal Organic Dress, but this one is a super close second, being similar in cut and overall style, just minus the wrap.”

Why we love them: We love their minimalist designs, their focus on materials, their transparency and their climate action.

My Personal Review Of Organic Basics’ Clothing:

“I’ve been trying out a bunch of pieces from Organic Basics, including the True Knit Wide Leg Pants, Flex Tee, True Knit Cardigan, Core Triangle Bralette, Core Rib Briefs, True Boxy Tee, Tennis Socks, and the Long Sleeve. Overall, I really like the looser-fitting items (the Boxy Tee and Long Sleeve Tee in particular—they’re super comfy). The Core Rib Briefs are a bit of a fave given their comfort, style and fun color. I really love the look of True Knit Cardigan but find it a little too tight (I get it’s supposed to fit like that but it’s not quite for me – I wish I had sized up) – same for the Flex Tee.”

My Personal Review of Subset’s Mid-Rise Bikini:

“I swear by Subset undies; the fabric is smooth and breathable, and it still feels amazing after repeated washes. It’s super stretchy, making it practical for all kinds of activities, and features a lightweight, ultra-comfortable crossover tank design. My Personal Review of LA Relaxed’s 90’s Sleeveless Mock Neck:

“Turtlenecks may remind you of your grandma, in which case, just call me ‘Nana’ because I love them, and this one is no exception. The fabric is a thick and quality organic cotton that I trust will hold up for a long time. My only slight criticism of the piece is that it’s a little bit shorter than I like. While I love a good crop top, if I’m wearing a turtleneck, it means it’s too cold for my tummy to be poking out. I get around this by pairing it with high-waisted pants I can tuck it into.”
