- Cruelty-free and vegan: A common ingredient in household cleaning products is glycerin, which can be sourced from animal fat or plant oil. We look for brands that use no animal byproducts. Not testing on animals is also important.
- Palm oil-free: Palm oil is commonly found in many soaps and detergents and while there are better options (like RSPO certified sustainable palm oil), we prefer not to see it used at all.
- Ethical ingredient sourcing
- Thoughtful packaging: We look for refillable cleaning products, recycled plastic bottles, or compostable zero waste packaging.
