We used our sustainable beauty guidelines to give the brands a good scrub down and pour those not-so-green washes down the drain.
- Non-toxic: Not only do harsh chemicals strip your natural oils, but they also wreak havoc on natural resources. We love to see natural skin care ingredients like botanicals, plant butters, and salicylic acid.
- Vegan and cruelty-free: No animal testing. If you don’t know why, watch this video. We avoid animal ingredients, too, but make exceptions for things like honey and beeswax.
- Palm oil free: Meaning free from palm oil and its derivatives. Exceptions are made for those using organic or RSPO-certified palm oil.
