Our search for vegan alternatives led us to vegan leather belts made from, first and foremost, NOT animal skins.
The most sustainable belts were those made of recycled materials (like fire hoses), cork, and bio-based microfibers.
While our list includes belts made from polyurethane as a more sustainable alternative to PVC (the most toxic and environmentally damaging type of plastic), we acknowledge that it is still a form of plastic and not exactly one of the most sustainable fabrics.
