How the rating works
1. Apply
Complete a short onboarding form so we can understand the type of brand you are (fashion, beauty, home, personal care, lifestyle, etc.). It takes about 10 minutes, and we come back to you within 2 business days.
2. Submit your sustainability information.
Provide detail across your operations, supply chain, materials and governance. In our experience, this takes around one to two hours.
3. Get your rating and assets
We score every brand against our 22-point rating system across four pillars. You review everything for factual accuracy before it goes live.

4. Renew
Renew your license annually at 50% of the rating fee. Full re-rating every 3 years.

If your brand carries an initial rating on our site, it was assessed from public information only. Completing a full rating lets you evidence more, usually lifts your tier, and adds your badge license and guide features. Apply using our application form.

Any consumer brand making a serious effort on sustainability. We do not accept brands engaged in destructive or misleading practices.
Not much. Most brands spend about two hours providing information, and the whole process takes two to four weeks.
Ratings are benchmarked by industry, so a brand can be top rated in its category even if its raw score looks modest next to other industries.
We correct factual errors at any time, but ratings are based on clear criteria and cannot be changed on request. Improvements are captured at your next full re-rating. Rating fees cover the assessment work, so they are not refundable once we have started.
Your rating is a stable benchmark, so we do not update it continuously. We correct factual errors at any time, and a major step forward, like a new certification, can earn a note at our discretion on the annual renewal. Everything else is captured at your next full re-rating.
The license keeps your rating active, your badge valid and your brand in our directory and features. A full re-rating happens every three years.
There is no obligation to renew, but your rating comes down from our directory and articles and your badge license ends.
