Rating Summary

Nature & Animals

The fabric is mostly hemp and organic cotton, both low-impact fibres, with dyes it describes as OEKO-TEX certified and non-toxic, and a small share of spandex.

Hemp needs little water or pesticide.

The brand publishes less about its climate footprint, water tracking, packaging beyond recycled mailers, and end-of-life recycling, which is where most of its headroom sits.

Communities & Wellbeing

The underwear is made in a BSCI-certified factory that the brand says provides fair wages and safe conditions, and WAMA keeps a team member in China to audit the factory and manage the relationship directly.

Values & Governance

WAMA is a founder-owned independent business and a Green America Certified Business that discloses its fabric composition, certifications and manufacturing arrangement.

It does not yet publish a formal sustainability report or a charitable-giving programme.

Product Performance

Independent reviews are strongly positive, praising the underwear as durable, comfortable, breathable and naturally anti-odour, and the brand offers a first-pair guarantee.

The thicker hemp fabric is a matter of preference.
