Made in Italy to the highest standards these have been designed for traction, stability, comfort and durability in the most demanding terrains.
The Vibram rubber injection outsoles have been designed with areas for grip, traction, braking and stability. The outsoles have been ballistic welded onto the uppers, so they will not part easily.
The uppers have been created with abrasion and scuff resistant Lyliane 3DMX and Cordura materials, so you can take these off-road and not worry about what happens on the way. You can wear these for long distances in comfort, walking on the removable cushioned anatomic insoles, your feet and ankles are supported with padding on the tongue and around the collar.
These are lab tested waterproof, with waterproof seams, a sealed tongue and a special breathable waterproof membrane that does not allow water penetration. Put on and take off easily with the finger tab, using the high-grade laces threaded through lace hooks that are long lasting and allow smooth lace sliding.
WVSport models are designed and produced in the foothills of the Dolomite Hills, Italy.
Each model is created using CAD design technology that simulates the different phases of the walking experience.
Advanced components and construction methods are used to create the models like the use of Vibram soles and a patented Support System which means the fit is always comfortable and secure.
Development samples are lab tested for days for their abrasion resistance, durability and water resistance. New models can take months sometimes years to develop.
The factory features one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Italy which means that 70% of the power used to produce WVSport footwear is from solar.
As well as working under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law the factory has their own Charter of Human Responsibilities (or Code of Ethics) which helps ensure the company is committed to respecting the rights, work and dignity of its employees.
For sourcing the materials to create each model we work with the factory using a traceability system that enables us to trace back every step in the production process so we always know what has been used and where it has come from.

I bought the boots in Juli last year(2023). I was really looking forward to get and enjoy these shoes. The whole concept, vegan sustainable and no even to expensive. Sounded like a dream to me. So, the shoes arrived and I took them for my first hikes. After the first couple of tours I realised a couple of tears appearing at the connection of the sole to the "leather". I contacted Wills and got immediately a answer and as promised new ones. I didn't used the new pair until last weeks. Get there later.
I continued using my first pair to see how they perform. Today, after approx. 8 month I can tell they are totally worn out. As some others mention some wrinkles appear, my ones turned into a full cut from one to the other side over the toe area and several other holes from normal bending through walking.
5 days ago, I started to use the second pair, after using them just at work(in a Museum) they turn out to be even worse. They start to peel of their top layer at the bending point and begin to have the exact same wrinkles.
I am really disappointed. It's no where sustainable and I feel betrayed.
Its amazing how good marketing and fake comments can trick you.
Btw. even the production in Italy or Portugal is a lie. On my shoebox was written made in CZ
I've had these boots a while now, can't even remember when I bought them, many years ago now, at least 5 I'd guess. Just been through some of the worst weather on a hike and its made me come back to review and say how great these boots are. Lasted me all this time, hiked all over in them, still going strong and fully vegan from an ethical company from what I researched. Definitely recommend and will replace mine eventually with another pair from here.
WVS remains one of my favourite vegan brands due to the excellent quality and gorgeous designs of all its items. I’ve used their coats, wallets, belts, jackets, smart shoes and boots for years, and therefore it’s no surprise to me that these waterproof hiking boots deliver on their promise too. Very sturdy and completely waterproof, even when standing in puddles.
Why harm animals when WVS exists.
I bought these boots to take on a trip to Norway last month, including to cold, snowy areas. Was very pleased with them. Tried out a couple of times at home beforehand but didn’t needed any breaking in and were comfortable from the start. Decided against the lined version so could use in summer as well, and had already planned to use foot warmers. I usually take a 10 / 44 in all shoes and boots. Tried the 9 / 44 and 10 / 45 and the larger was the best fit. Was very easy to return the smaller pair.
Very robust and comfortable boots. Tested through 10-20 hikes so far, I found them reliable, with a good grip, fully waterproof when walking through fresh snow, small streams and water pools, comfortable to wear for long walks, and warm enough at about -5°C with standard cotton socks. A great set of features for the price, hard to find elsewhere, plus they're vegan too! Will buy again.
