Some of the men in our lives are fine with the basics—a plain tee from 2006 and a pair of blue jeans to match—which can make gift shopping a real pain. But sustainable gifts for him aren’t limited to cheesy finds online like a book of dad jokes or a “Kiss The Cook” apron.
Fortunately, you can still show these men you care without cramping their non-style by gifting something sleek, durable, long-lasting, and, most importantly, functional.
So with that in mind, we’ve curated our favorites and hopefully options for even that impossible-to-buy guy in your life, whether it’s for Christmas, Father’s Day, a birthday, or just because.
We’ve included men’s gifts priced at a range of budgets starting at $23.

My Personal Review of tentree’s Organic Logo Hoodie:
“You can see me wearing the grey hoodie in the pic above. I got this from tentree about 3 years ago. I found the combo of organic cotton and recycled synthetics buttery soft. Especially the inside of the hoodie, it has a slight texture to it which I found keeps you pretty warm, while the outside fabric is smooth to the touch. I would say it’s maybe a little larger than true to size and a little longer at the waist. However, I think my upper body is a bit shorter than average. I love the design of this one, and the little cork pieces attached to the hoodie drawstrings are a really nice eco-touch. I’ve worn this inside and outside, cold and mild weather, hiking and just chilling on the couch. No sign of wear and tear and no piling (I only air dry FYI).”

If you’re shopping for a sports fan and want something that’s comfortable enough for them to spend all day watching the race and built to last season after season, check out the Daytona collection from Blurry Recreation. With sleek, minimal designs that nod to NASCAR culture they’re designed for fans who appreciate motorsports or just love a bold yet refined look.
The collection includes just one soft unisex hoodie and pair of sweats, made of an OEKO-TEX certified blend of 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled polyester, along with a flexible, water-resistant baseball ‘Daytona Racing Club’ Collector’s Cap made of entirely recycled nylon. Since Blurry specializes in limited-run capsule collections, so each piece in the Daytona collection is unique and won’t be available forever.
My Personal Review of Blurry Recreation’s Decision Time Sweatpants:
“Blurry Recreation’s sweats from the Daytona collection quickly became a home go-to for me. Even though I myself am not really a NASCAR fan, they’re so comfortable that I hardly even care because I love lounging around the house in them. The fit is just right, not too tight or too loose, though since I’m only 5’5″ the legs are a touch long (no trouble, as the elastic cuff keeps them from sinking under my heels). The quality feels like it’ll hold up wash after wash, but I’ll update you after waring them for a few more months.”

Wallet
Price Range: $55–$169
Have you seen Dad’s wallet lately? Enough said. Wallets and dad go hand-in-hand… they did fork out lots from them for you over the years, after all.
Bellroy is another excellent option with a wide range of cardholders, billfolds, flip-case wallets, and zippered wallets. We especially love this Certified B Corp’s Slim Sleeve made from MIRUM, a natural vegan leather crafted from natural rubber, soybeans, and pine charcoal paired with compostable cotton lining and stitching. On the other of end of spectrum, they also offer beefy options like the Travel Folio to suit every kind of cash carrier out there.
Bellroy’s wallets include a 3-year warranty and RFID protection to ensure the only one sneaking dad’s money is you.
My Personal Review of Bellroy’s Hide-&-Seek Wallet:
“I own Bellroy’s best-selling Hide-&-Seek wallet, and find it perfect if you like to keep it slim and simple, since it holds all my cards with ease, with a secret cash compartment. Fair warning: if you carry a lot of bills as I often do, the secret hidden cash sleeve is simply not big enough to hold many bills witohut making the wallet bulge and not fold close. I grab this one when I only need my essentials, but if I’m planning on traveling where I know I’ll be carrying more cash, I recommend something with a bit higher capacity.”

Activewear
Price Range: $48–$102
Have a gym rat in your life? Or maybe just someone making it their New Year’s resolution to hit the gym a few days a week?
Iron Roots‘ men’s activewear is designed with both performance and durability in mind. Their gear is made from eco-friendly materials like 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell or a breathable blend of hemp and organic cotton. Either choice offers a comfortable feel against the skin, whether they’re lifting weights, going for a run, or just running errands in the versatile Full-Zip Hoodie.
My Personal Review of Iron Root’s Zip-Up Hoodie:
“I have an Iron Roots zip-up hoodie, and the fabric quality is super. It’s soft, breathable, and clearly made with attention to detail. The hoodie has held up so well, it’s comfortable and looks good (I think so anyways) without being overly heavy—perfect for staying active in chilly weather. As a small brand I can really see how they’ve made quality a non-negotiable to stand out from the activewear-crowd.”

Sunglasses
Price Range: $58–$195
Help the men in your life block out the haters (or the sun) with a new pair of sustainable sunglasses.
Sunski’s collection of polarized shades are ideal for driving, water sports, hiking, or just looking cool while lounging on the beach. Pairs like the Yuba will up their sustainable style with frames made from recycled materials and Fair Trade Certified production practices.
Or you can set your sights on the fashion-forward Warby Parker. Many frames, like the Lottie, are made from natural materials, like Italian plant cellulose acetate. Thinner pairs, like the Merrick, use metals like stainless steel, bronze, or recyclable titanium. And unlike Sunski, who only sell basic non-prescription shades, Warby Parker gives you the ability to fully customize the lenses, including single vision and progressive prescription options.
T-Shirt
Price Range: $41–$90
This might sound boring among some of these other sustainable gifts for men, but if you want to give something endlessly useful, you can’t go wrong with a t-shirt.
Toad&Co offers tops like V-necks, henleys, polos, and more made from organic cotton, recycled fabrics, hemp, and TENCEL™. The loose-fitting Ponderosa Long Sleeve Henley is perfect for the Fall, with its ribbed design that drapes over the body and keeps its wearer warm with a blend of organic cotton and Lenzing Modal.
Or, if your guy is an organic-only type (kudos!), Colorful Standard’s sole material is GOTS-certified organic cotton dyed with OEKO-TEX-certified dyes. The super soft material is SJ-approved from testing and is used in Oxford shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and the Classic Organic Tee available in over 50 colors.
My Personal Review of Toad&Co’s Ponderosa Long-Sleeve Henley :
“The loose-fitting Ponderosa Henley is perfect for the Fall, where here in Wyoming where I live at a high elevation, it’s freezing in the morning and sweltering by noon. Its ribbed design is really breathable the blend of lyocell gives it an almost silky texture that’s super comfortable to wear.”
My Personal Review of Colorful Standard’s Classic Organic Tee:
“The Classic Organic Tee is a simple, basic tee that everyone needs in their wardrobe. The difference is that Colorful Standard’s tees are super high-quality and made with zero chemicals. I’ve been wearing these multiple times a week for over a year now, and they’re still in excellent condition. The only change I’ve noticed is that somehow they’ve gotten even softer.”

Sneakers
Price Range: $75–$199
Whether the man in your life is on his feet all day or desperately wants to be after long hours at the desk, there’s no easier way to show support than giving his feet some love.
A gift from Thousand Fell means also showing the planet some love thanks to their range of closed-loop sneakers. Their lace-up and slip-on sneakers are made of water-resistant easy-to-clean recycled uppers and can be sent back to the brand at the end of their life to be recycled yet again.
Or consider 8000Kicks’ Explorer V2 made entirely of eco-friendly materials. Designed and engineered in Portugal, the 100% hemp shoe is durable, comfortable, and lightweight. And don’t worry, it has a PFC waterproof coating, so your man can wear these them on wet days without worry.
My Personal Review of Thousand Fells’ Slip-Ons:
“Despite their sleek and minimalist design (which makes them a versatile choice for any men’s wardrobe), Thousand Fell’s Slip-Ons don’t compromise on comfort. I was initially unsure about the all-white color, but the smooth material is easy to clean, ensuring they stay looking fresh and stylish. I also love how convenient they are to slip on, and once on, they fit securely and don’t shift on my heels as I walk.”

My Personal Review of 8000Kicks’ Explorer V2:
“I’ve been using the Explorer V2 Allblack as my everyday shoes for three years now, and they’re fantastic! They’ve held up through everything—from daily wear to five-mile runs and rocky hikes. The soles are starting to wear down a bit, but the uppers are still in great condition. I love the spacious fit, which suits my narrow feet well, although they do run a bit larger than I anticipated. The waterproof feature, which I didn’t think I’d need, has been such a bonus, especially with the rainy weather around here—it means I can skip the boots for quick trips out. Plus, the all-black style is perfect for hiding dirt, which I really appreciate, given how often I wear them!”

Headphones
Price Range: $20–$170
We live in an increasingly tech-centric world, and between last-minute work calls on the go, an endless list of new podcast episodes, and the music that keeps us sane through our busy daily lives, a good pair of headphones or earbuds is practically a survival essential.
Whether your guy likes to play it old school cool with lower EMF wired headphones or is all about the continence of Bluetooth tech, ethical electronics brand House of Marley. means you don’t need worry about a thing when shopping for gifts this holiday season. Items like the Positive Vibration are constructed from sustainably sourced, FSC-certified wood and bamboo alongside recycled aluminum.
If you’re buying for someone who already has a trusty pair of Airpods, the FSC-certified, wooden AirPods Case from Oakywood protects his AirPods from bumps, scratches, and falls. It’s handcrafted in Oak or Walnut and works with their wide range of wireless chargers and docking stations.
My Personal Review of Oakywood’s AirPods Case:
“Oakywood’s beautiful AirPods case provides a snug fit that keeps my AirPods safe and secure. Made by hand from either FSC-certified oak or walnut, it pairs seamlessly with Oakywood’s wireless chargers and docking stations (both of which I also had the chance to try out). I love its super sleek, minimalist design and the fact that you don’t need to remove the AirPods from the case for charging.”

Shaving Kit
Price Range: $23–$143
Zero waste razors will keep your man looking his best by providing the closest shave possible and removing unnecessary waste from the bathroom. Not to mention, they are super cool to use!
The Bamboo Safety Razor from the UK-based shop Jungle Culture comes in different colors and handle sizes, but all with unbeatable quality and plastic-free packaging.
Or blend the sustainability of the safety razor with the design of a modern pivoting head razor in the Razor Set from carbon-neutral Leaf Shave. The kit includes two razors: the Leaf Triple-Blade for covering large areas and the Single-Edge Twig for finer details. You can mix and match handle finishes, purchase replacement blades or optional stands, and add on the Calming Serum. This all-natural aftershave comes highly recommended by our product testers for men who are tired of overly scented, dehydrating alcohol-based aftershave liquid.
My Personal Review of Jungle Culture’s Diamond Grip Safety Razor:
“I’ve tested the Diamond Grip Safety Razor. It’s one of the more solid options I’ve used, despite the slightly smaller handle, the alloy, chrome mix gives it a fair bit of weight. I’ve dropped it a couple of times and other than a scratch no signs of wear and tear over the last couple of years. I like the 3 piece design as I can really tighten the head. The only drawback if you’re used to using a twist mechanism is the hassle with a 3 piece. It takes a bit more effort to change blades. But the flip side is there’s less risk of the blade loosening. And the textured grip is useful especially when the razor is wet, I’ve rarely felt like it’s going to slip out of my hand.”
Review by Lyall Mabin, SJ Co-Founder
My Personal Review of Leaf’s Triple-Blade Razor:
“I started shaving my face with a safety razor a couple of years ago and love how smooth and close of a shave I get. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to try something else, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Leaf’s razor yields all the closeness I’ve grown used to with my safety razor, with a little less chance of nicking myself. While I have to be careful with the pressure applied using a safety razor, this one’s pivoting head means I have to be less conscious of that element while shaving.”

Belt
Price Range: $60–$104
No matter who wears the pants in your relationship, a means to keep those pants up will always be appreciated.
An Elvis & Kresse belt puts a unique twist on what might be considered an otherwise boring belt. Made from reclaimed fire hoses that once served in active duty, these belts are rugged, durable, and each one has its own history. They serve as both a functional accessory and a small reminder of how good design can give materials a second life.
If your guy likes it bold, the Big Yellow Belt’s name should tell you that this fireman’s yellow piece will definitely draw the eye. For something a touch more muted and versatile, The West End Belt has the look of a classic chestnut leather belt—except that no animals were harmed in its making.
Portable Solar Panel
Price Range: $99–$4,999
Does the man in your life traverse the great outdoors, or is a camping enthusiast? Either way, portable solar panels are a handy outdoor option.
The Climate Neutral Certified brand BioLite produces some of the most reliable minimalist solar panels in 5W, 10W, and 100W designs. The panels are flexible, lightweight, practically flat, and have integrated USB ports to make charging phones, cameras, and other equipment hassle-free.
If your man needs, in the immortal words of Tim the Tool Man Taylor, “more power!”, instead consider Anker whose larger, higher output panels encourage personal adoption of renewable energy. Foldable solar panels aside, they even have all the other tools one needs to properly integrate renewable energy into daily life, also available in bundles like the Solar Generator 521, including a 256Wh generator, 100W panel, and six different ports for all his gear and devices.
My Personal Review of BioLite’s SolarPanel 5+:
“I recently got my hands on the BioLite SolarPanel 5+ after looking longingly at them for a year. This lightweight, portable solar panel is a game-changer for keeping my phone (AKA my GPS) charged while camping and hiking. The 5-watt output may not sound like much, but it’s more than enough to charge the types of small devices you’d be taking outdoors. It even works on my DSLR camera batteries. The built-in kickstand makes it easy to position for optimal sunlight, and the sleek and thin design means it fits seamlessly into my gear.”
My Personal Review of Anker’s 531 Solar Panel (200W):
“If you need the off-grid means to charge up your power bank and devices, I highly recommend the ANKER 531 200W solar panel. I love mine, both for off-grid travel in my camper and as a way to reduce energy consumption at home on sunny days.”
