Nine years ago, our founder, Krish, was an engineer on an oil rig in Louisiana. He quickly learned that it took weeks to reach oil far below the ground, but just minutes to hit water. Recalling his own childhood memories of people suffering from a lack of clean water, he wondered how these people could be without something that’s so readily accessible.

The story came full circle as Krish began shopping for engagement rings for his now-wife, only to learn of the diamond and mining industries’ unethical and poor environmental practices. That’s when it struck Krish: build his own jewelry company that not only was ethical and sustainable, but that could do more by providing water to communities in need, too.
